Scientific Name: Philodendron erubescens 'Pink Princess'
A unique variety of philodendron, it can grow patchwork splotches of light pink and white over parts of the otherwise green leaf; a color combination rarely seen in plants, especially on ones that grow to this size!

Best for These Animals: Frogs, tropical lizards, small to moderate-sized snakes, and other reptiles and amphibians from tropical and temperate climate zones.

Soil Depth: Moderate to deep; can climb and root up wood.
Lighting: Part shade to bright indirect light; do not place directly under heat lamp.
Humidity & Misting: Prefers humidity between 50% and 60%, but can take higher. Root system can grow in water features.
Mature Plant Size & Root System: Can reach up to 3ft tall and wide, occasionally larger, and can grow up towards a light source and topple over to root along the ground, or in water. It likes moderate to deep substrate to fully root out, but can also root along wooden branches or backdrops.
Temperature Tolerance & Placement in the Terrarium: Between 65 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit, prefers between 70 and 80 degrees. Due to eventual size, it is usually best placed at the back or along the sides of the terrarium.
Edible & Side Effects if Ingested: As a member of the Araceae family, it can be mildly toxic if ingested. However, reptiles and amphibians do not typically eat it.
