The Bio Dude is dedicated to ensuring that we recommend the best care and husbandry practices utilizing research and scientific data to enforce and create a better standard for ourselves and our community.

What We Do

The Bio Dude is a small business located in Houston, Texas that specializes in reptile, amphibian, and invertebrate products. We offer substrates, lighting, plants, botanicals, captive bred reptiles and amphibians, live feeder animals, terrariums and more.

Founded in 2017, The Bio Dude strives to go beyond basic care by utilizing research-based techniques. We have been featured on Animal Planet and work with many AZA accredited facilities in Texas. In addition to our website, we have a brick and mortar store, and distribution around the contiguous 48 to many retail stores. This business was started out of dust and created from love, determination, grief and tenacity.

About the Founder

My name is Josh, and I am the founder of the Bio Dude. I have dedicated my entire existence to these animals. I have been obsessed with them since I was young and I have turned that love and tenacity into a successful and ethical business that allows me to focus on improving our community daily. I am an avid fisherman, birder and family man (Go Steelers). Thank you all for the opportunity to serve you.
