A complete bioactive terrarium kit for Goliath Bird Eater (Theraphosa blondi) Tarantula. These grand invertebrates have made a name for themselves in the hobby for their massive size. They are commonly found in north South American regions, and most noticeable in the Amazon Rainforest! Despite their namesake and size, they rarely feed on birds, and prefer to live in marshy/swampy areas where they can predate on other arthropods and amphibians.
Another impressive fact about this species, is that they are the only tarantula species to be able to produce an audible "hiss" when threatened, by rubbing their legs together that have specialized hairs. With the Dude’s one of a kind, handcrafted Terra Aranea it will allow you to create that environment that they need perfectly. Not only will the substrate retain the high humidity value that your Goliath Bird Eater needs, but it also allows them to do what they like to do as critters.
